Creating One of My Obsessions//
I've wanted a ball-jointed doll ever since I first saw them in a Haute Doll Magazine years ago, but they were WAY too expensive for me then, and they're way too expensive for me now. So, without eight-hundred dollars to blow, I decided to make one instead.
I made her core using paper towels and masking tape, waited days before getting the guts to actually put the clay on her, then wrapped her body core in the paperclay. Most people use La Doll clay. I didn't. I just used a clay called Creative Paperclay. It got great reviews and seems to be working well so far.
So I went ahead and removed the core once it dried and taped the seams of the body together with masking tape.
